The Workshy is a five-piece band from Ames, Iowa with a sound that is difficult to classify. Infusing genres such as blues, jazz, funk, bluegrass, and many other elements, The Workshy has been creating quite a stir since 2008. With notable shows such as Little Big Fest 2011 and 80/35 2010 under their belts, The Workshy guys are no strangers to the local music scene. They’ve shared the stage with bands such as Radio Moscow, Euforquestra, Family Groove Company, and Floodplane. This summer not only will they be playing at 80/35, but they also won a play-in spot at Wakarusa 2011 and will be making their Arkansas debut with notable headliners from around the country. The Workshy creates an excitement with their performances, exhibiting an intense energy that is unique and exhilarating to watch.
