Railroad Earth’s concoction of roots/jam/bluegrass/rock thrives in a live setting. It’s no secret that improvisation is one of their big strengths. But what really sets them apart is their remarkable songwriting, driven by front-man, Todd Sheaffer, and delivered with seamless arrangements and superb musicianship courtesy of all band members. The band started out with quite a bang, landing a slot on the Telluride Bluegrass Festival in 2001 even before releasing an album. Railroad Earth continues to be on the rise and is expected to release a new album late this summer.
