Food
An assortment of food options will be available throughout the festival grounds. Stay tuned for a list of our 2018 food vendors.

Beer
An assortment of domestic and craft beers are available in can and draft. The official beer lineup will be released soon.

Wine
Jasper Winery will have Iowa wines and sangria available for sale, including JW Rose (dry rose), Edelweiss (semi-sweet white), Lucy Lane (sweet red), Behind the Shed Red (dry red), Jasper Sangria.

Non-Alcoholic Beverages
Select a variety of refreshing Coca-Cola products. Free water filling stations will also be located on the festival grounds. Some of the food vendors will also be selling nonalcoholic beverages.

Lagunitas Lounge
The exclusive Lagunitas Lounge will be the only place at the festival to feature select Lagunitas beers, plus an assortment of mixed drinks and wine. The Lounge will be located in the northwest corner, inside the paid area. Upgrade your 80/35 experience, by purchasing a Lounge wristband for $20 (includes one free drink ticket) in advance or buy day of just outside the Lounge entrance. All DMMC Members and VIP pass holders get complimentary access to the Lounge. Don’t have an 80/35 ticket? Sorry, you can’t access the lounge without an 80/35 ticket and a Lounge wristband.

Kids

Fairlife YUP! Kids Zone
Featuring free activities for children of all ages from 4:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. Friday and 1:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. Saturday. Located at 13th and Grand, the zone includes large inflatables, face-painting, hula hooping, arts and crafts, and large grassy shaded areas!

Story Time Between Sets
Meet up with North Side Library throughout the day for story time, song singing, bubble fun, and to meet library mascot Rosie. Location TBD.

Local Love

Wells Fargo Community Village
A hub for showcasing all things Des Moines with activities provided by local organizations and nonprofits. Swing through for solar-powered charging stations, live mural painting, photo booths, ticket giveaways, live artist interviews, games, and more!

DMMC Booth
The Des Moines Music Coalition (DMMC) will have a fun, interactive photo booth and chances to win free 80/35 VIP upgrades. Stop by the booth for information on the festival and other upcoming DMMC events. Located on the corner of 12th and Locust.

Luck Expo
Join Luck Magazine and engage in everything art including a community painting, quick draw portraits, flash poetry, and more - located in the Community Village on the corner of 13th and Locust.

Performing Arts Stage
Stop by the stage on Locust near 13th St. for gravity-defying aerial arts and keep an eye out throughout the festival for breakdancing, AcroYoga flash mobs, and more.

PLOP, an inflatable
Plopped near 80/35's main gate entrance, don't miss this one of a kind inflatable sculpture created by local artist Rachel Buse in collaboration with the Greater Des Moines Public Art Foundation.

Admission
Where do I buy tickets? How much are they?
Head on over to midwestix.com. to purchase advance tickets for $75 two-day, $195 VIP or $49 one-day. Ticket prices increase starting May 19.
What does VIP include?
The VIP experience at 80/35 includes six free drink vouchers, two food vouchers (for meals between 5-7pm in the VIP area each day), $5 off coupon for 80/35 merch, access to the Lagunitas Lounge, and exclusive access to VIP Lounge next to the Main Stage featuring a shaded viewing area, air-conditioned bathrooms with running water and access to the VIP Lounge Bar with discounted beverages, mixed drinks, beer & wine.
What can I see for free?
As part of the Des Moines Music Coalition’s mission to grow the music scene, 80/35 works to expose more people to live music by making sure the festival is accessible to everyone. The free area (no ticket required) includes free stages, a Kids Zone, arts & crafts, food & drink vendors and more. The Main Stage requires a ticket.
What about kids?
Kids under 11 get in free to the paid area when accompanied by a parent or guardian with a ticket. Children 11 and older are charged regular admission.

The Fairlife YUP! Kids Zone at 13th and Grand has a bunch of all free activities including inflatables, arts & crafts, hula-hoops and more.
Getting to 80/35
By Car
Street parking is free after 6 p.m. on Friday and all weekend, starting at 6 a.m. on Saturday. Free parking is also available in the Nationwide Parking Ramp (located at Mulberry and 12th St.) after 5 p.m. on Friday and anytime Saturday.
By Bus
Leave your car at home and take advantage of late-night bus service to 80/35. The Des Moines Area Regional Transit Authority (DART) is providing late-night service on its Route 60 to take people to and from the festival. Route 60 runs between downtown Des Moines and 42nd St. using University and Ingersoll Avenues. The route will run every 20 minutes until midnight on Friday and Saturday, July 7 and 8. This route travels in a loop around downtown via Ingersoll and University, going all the way to 42nd St.

The main drop-off location for arriving at 80/35 is at High and 10th St. For getting home, 80/35 attendees can go to the bus stop at the corner of Grand and 10th St. For more information, visit: ridedart.com/content/how-get-8035-downtown-des-moines.
By Bike
Ride your bike and use the Meredith Bike Valet for free secured bike parking during the festival. Located on Locust St., west of 13th St.
Upon Arrival
If you have a ticket or want to buy a ticket, go to the Ticketing Tent on 12th St., just south of Locust. If you only want to experience the free areas of the festival, you can enter the festival grounds anywhere.
Rules & Day Of Details
What do I do when I arrive? What's the deal with wristbands?
Exchange your ticket for a wristband or buy a ticket at the Ticketing Tent on 12th St. You must keep your wristband on at all times for re-entry to the paid area. You will receive one wristband for the entire weekend. 80/35 is not responsible for lost or broken wristbands and cannot issue new ones — even if you have a ticket stub or broken wristband. If you are only enjoying the free area no wristband is needed.
What time do gates open?
Gates open at 4:00 p.m. on Friday and 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Music goes until 11:00 p.m. both nights.
What can I bring?
CAN BRING: chairs (only in designated areas), blankets, small non-frame backpacks, one empty water bottle per person, one factory-sealed water bottle, small snack, empty camelbacks, personal pocket sized point and shoot only cameras.
What should I leave at home?
DON’T BRING: illegal drugs, weapons, fireworks, pets, coolers, outside beverages (except one sealed water bottle and one empty water bottle), large frame backpacks, audio recording devices, professional photography equipment, including cameras with interchangeable lenses and SLRs.
What other rules should I know about?
- For the security and safety of all attendees, bags will be checked as you enter festival grounds.
- No unauthorized vending.
- Underage drinking is prohibited.
- Keep the festival grounds clean. Use the marked trash and recycling stations.
- Smoking is not permitted in the paid, gated area. Smoking is allowed in the free area.
- No audio or video taping.
Do vendors accept credit card?
Many, but not all vendors accept credit card. ATMs will be available onsite.
How do alcohol sales work?
Visit a drink ticket station (next to the beer stands) first to get your ID checked in exchange for a wristband. Purchase drinks tickets with cash/card. Beer and wine stands only accept drink tickets.
Is the festival accessible?
Yes, there are accessible pathways for wheelchairs throughout the festival. Each stage will feature a designated wheelchair user area in front of the sound boards. Additionally, accessible portable toilets are located throughout the grounds.
Will there be first aid on festival grounds?
Yes, a first aid station will be on 12th Street, just south of Locust Street.
Is there recycling or composting at 80/35?
Yes! There will be separate marked bins for recycling, compost, and trash. Each vendor will have signage that indicates which of their items are compostable. Common compostable items include: produce, meat, seafood scraps, eggs, and paper products.

Day Of Volunteering

This is our most popular option for getting involved. Volunteer shifts are available from Thursday, July 5 through Sunday, July 8 and shifts typically last 4-5 hours. In exchange for your time, you are can get a free one or two-day ticket and 80/35 staff t-shirt. Apply here.

Our planning team volunteers work with project manager, Amedeo Rossi and/or Des Moines Music Coalition board members on things like vending, booking, activities, ticketings, marketing and more.
