When he’s not freelance writing, leading workshops on tolerance, or organizing conferences advocating social justice, Guante is laying down his uniquely-conscious brand of hip-hop that is being hailed as some of the best in the Midwest. His smooth and intelligent style has gone on to see major exposure at the Independent Music Awards and he is currently a Slam Poetry Champion of not only his native St. Paul but also at the national level. Guante has shared the stage with Talib Kweli, Spearhead, Neko Case, Rage Against the Machine and several other top acts all across the country.
