Volunteer at the 80/35 Music Festival

We’re looking for fun, energetic, music fans who would be willing to donate a few hours of their time at the 2010 80/35 Music Festival. Organized and managed by the Des Moines Music Coalition, a non-profit organization, 80/35 requires hundreds of dedicated and responsible people to pull it all together. And let’s just say the perks are definitely worth it!

Volunteer shifts last 4 – 5 hours and we have shifts a few days before, during and after the Festival. Activities range from checking wristbands, selling drink tickets, gate control and even managing backstage activities. As a volunteer, you have access to all the same things as the spectators — the music, the food, the fun, and the party.

We will try to assign volunteers to their 1st or 2nd choice, however there is no guarantee that your shift will end prior to your favorite band.

Festival Times are Saturday, July 3rd (11am-11pm) & Sunday, July 4th (11am-11pm).

Volunteers will receive the following:

  • Official 80/35 Staff t-shirt
  • FREE ticket for the day you volunteer

Update:

At this point, we are fully loaded with volunteers! Thanks to everyone that has volunteered. However, there may be spots that open up, or other small jobs that we need someone to fill. So, if you are still interested, and are flexible with whenever, we can put you on our “still interested” list. Please note that the t-shirt and free ticket still only apply to those that actually get scheduled and show up. If you miss out, then make sure you sign up here earlier next year!

  • All volunteers must wear the official 80/35 t-shirt, July 3 & 4, while volunteering.
