Like notable musicians before him, singer-songwriter Cory Chisel forged his first connection to the power of song through the music he heard – and made – in church. The son of a Baptist minister, Cory Chisel experienced the power of music and gospel all throughout his young life. A native of Appleton, Wisconsin, Cory Chisel is proud of and inspired by his roots. Sheltered from pop music in his youth, Chisel was able to build his own musical tastes. His most recent, full-length album from Black Seal Records, Death Won’t Send a Letter, is both haunting and gutsy, instantly hooking the listener. Come enjoy Cory Chisel at 80/35 and only then will the intimate feel of his music truly become understood.
