BBU, otherwise known a Bin Laden Blowing Up or Brown, Black, and Ugly, was born on the subways of Chicago. BBU is a showcase of raw energy and a caliber of originality and skill that hasn’t been seen in past Chicago acts. The hip hop group is made up of Illekt, Epic and Jasson Perez. Together their music hits Western imperialism with a one-two punch that seeks liberation from the systematic oppression of poverty and unemployment as well as the dysfunctional conditions across the United States. BBU has a reputation in Chicago for creating chaos and provoking locals to get real.
Performing Saturday, July 2 at 4:45pm on the Kum & Go Stage.
