Adapt (of the Sioux Falls, SD act Truth and Adapt) cuts what he calls “true hip-hop with no gimmicks” and everyone who has heard him rap, either on-stage or on a record, agrees whole-heartedly. The smoky throwback jazz vibe presented on his latest releases revives a sound that many haven’t heard for some time, a clean and pure envelope for his verse. Adapt’s hypnotic rapping will suck any listener in, hip-hop fan or not.
