YPC Do More Village at 80/35

WHAT:
The second annual summer music festival organized by the Des Moines Music Coalition (DMMC) will be taking place on July 3rd and 4th, 2009. Also returning for a second year at the music festival is the Do More Village presented by The Greater Des Moines Partnership’s Young Professional’s Connection. The YPC Do More Village is currently seeking non-profit companies that are interested encouraging young professionals to “Do More” in the Greater Des Moines Community. Interested organizations can contact either of the YPC Do More Village Co-chairs: sharrington@ypcdsm.com or hbrown@ypcdsm.com.

WHEN:
YPC Do More Village hours
Friday, July 3rd: 4 – 8 pm
Saturday, July 4th: 12 – 8 pm

WHERE:
The YPC Do More Village will be on Locust Street, between 13th and 14th.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
The YPC Do More Village will serve as the hub for promoting all things Des Moines at the festival. This free showcase area will draw in event attendees through interactive exhibits and unique demonstrations, all provided by local non-profit groups and supported by local talent. We invite any non-profit organization to apply for a spot in the YPC Do More Village and join us in spreading the word about our great city.

Exhibit Area Highlights:
• Showcase area for organizations to provide interactive exhibits that engage young-minded individuals in the Greater Des Moines community.
• Free to event attendees, along with easy access to the festival’s free stages
The Festival will provide:
• One complimentary 10’ x 10’ space, tables and chairs (more space is available upon request)
Exhibiting Rules
• Raffling or selling merchandise must receive prior expressed written consent of the Festival.
• All performances must be pre-approved by the Festival.
• All organizations and their participants must abide by the rules and policies of the Festival.
