The Rain Won’t Scare Us Away

Clearly mother nature will have to do a lot more to deter Des Moines from the party outside. I’ve been to all three stages and it seems that everyone is ignoring the party-pooper that is nature. The Autumn Project, with their post-rock, instrumental splendor made every head bob to-and-fro, and Matisyahu brought some great vibes with his reggae-hip hop blend of liquid melodies.

People seem to be taking the showers in stride, and it’s almost created a euphoric atmosphere among the crowd. Ponchos seem to be the remedy, so grab one with a hood and enjoy the rest of the evening.

Well, I’m about to get rocked by Stephen Malkmus, so if you’re game, throw on a raincoat, or grab an umbrella and join me!
