Day 1 down!

Wow what a day.. I got to give it up to everyone who came out today, who stuck it out though the rain!

I had a fantastic time today, I got to meet one of the members of Tilly and the Wall’s Parents which was totally fun right after they played!  I did enjoy the DINKEY WHEATS from my home town of Ames all day, even though some rain was getting in my glass.. I loved the Autumn Project  they were super tight and the rain kept Jess looking awesome in his sun glasses, then it was back to the main stage for a little Mr. MALKMUS and the JICKS which was fantastic, they played great and Its not to often you get to see a member of PAVEMENT in your back yard and man I got it two days in a row and it was just fantastic!  BUT actually the highlight of the night for me was seeing Iowa’s rock legends HOUSE OF LARGE SIZES who brought the goods! they were so AMAZING!!!  so so so so so good!  I loved it, they rocked so hard! by this time my legs were feeling a little drunk and while talking to friends was feeling a little weezy but I hit up the food stands and was taken care of with some fantastic VEGAN COCONUT CURRY and BROWN RICE!  it ruled!  I was then ready to see a little Public E! man it looks like they were having fun on stage, I hope so.. Im back in ames now brushing my teeth ready to get to bed I GOT TO BE UP EARLY!!!   The Poison Control Center is on @ noon! be there or be reading this i hope xoxo

Driving 2 1/2 hrs to hang out in the rain is not my idea of fun but seeing House of Large Sizes again made my night. They are one band that over the last, what 20 years, have never ceased to amaze me with their ability to consistently deliver the goods.
